Pérouges is a charming medieval hilltop village near Lyon. It’s very small so you don’t need much time to explore everything. We were only there for about two hours and that included a stop to get a tarte au sucre, a dessert that Pérouges is known for. Sadly, I don’t have any pictures of it because I ate it too quickly. You can easily spend more time here if you choose to stop for lunch, shop at boutiques, or dig deeper into some of the museums.
